Madame Chapeau restaurant in Brussels

The stoemp

A traditional and popular dish, wholesome and yummy like grandma used to make, the Stoemp is potato puree mixed with one other season vegetable and traditionally accompanied by country sausage.

Our friend Chef Gautier De Baere has modernised and revisited the stoemp specially for Madame Chapeau in an original fashion while keeping its authenticity thus enabling you to create your own menu in three fun stages and choose from beef, pork, fish and a vegetarian option prepared and sublimated by Chef Cedric Cnudde.

You can round off your meal with a lovely Brussels waffle or delicious speculoos ice cream.

We also serve the traditional tartine, home made soup and our specialty salads which are perfect for a quick lunch.
